PNR guy of the week

This weeks PNR guy is one of my favorite Anne Rice charactors the super sexy Vampire Armand. I read the novel at a young age and immediately fell in love with Armand, the pain and suffering he endured really hit me hard. I remember tearing up a few times while I was reading. He was a child slave kidnapped by the Turks, the vampire Marius rescued him and brought him to his home in Venice.After he was poisoned Marius gave him the dark gift. Armand has been portrayed by two actors the first was Antonio Banderas in Interview with the Vampire and then by Matthew Newton in Queen of the damned.

Finally Johnny Depp's playing a vampire!

Yes you read correctly, after many years of hoping my favorite actor Johnny Depp will be playing a vampire and not just any vampire but Barnabas Collins. He's teaming up once again with director Tim Burton for the screen adaptation of Dark shadows. For those of you who don't know Dark shadows is a gothic soap opera that ran on ABC from 1966-1971. The show follows the Collins family and the strange occurrences that plague them. The charactor of Barnabas Collins wasn't introduced untill six months after the show began to help boost the ratings. In the 90's the show was revived by NBC but was shortly canceled due to issues with the network. The Dark shadows film is set to be release sometime next year, so now we have two vamptastic films to look forward to.

I know my last two PNR guys were vamps, so this week im giving some love to the shifters. Alcide Herveaux from HBO's true blood/Sookie Stackhouse novels played by the uber hottie
Joe Manganiello is a werewolf sent by the vamps to protect Sookie while visiting the king of Mississippi. Alcide is a very strong yet kind man, he even forgives Sookie for killing his psycho ex girlfriend though it was in selfdefense.But hey with a face and bod like that he'd make any woman crazy. Alcide later becomes pack leader after his father dies.

Enchanted dreams by Nancy madore *warning contains spoilers*

Enchanted dreams...more like creepy nightmares. I read Nancy madore's Enchanted dreams: erotic tales of the supernatural and was disturbed and let me tell you it takes alot to distubed me *evil grin*. If I listed all the reasons why this book was bad i'd have a severe case of carpal tunnel, so im gonna keep it short and to the point. This book was a train wreck. Not one story out of the seven managed to turn me on in the slightest. Now im into kinky erotica but this was gross. One on the stories was about a married woman who was abducted by octopuss type aliens with long probing tentcles yeah... eww... after a night of wild alien sex she's sent on her merry way only to find out later she's pregnant. Scared that the baby insn't her husband's she decides to get an abortion. While this supposed abortion is going on she finds herself back on the spaceship getting it on with the extra terrestrials (won't she ever learn) after it's over she wakesup on the hospital floor with the doctors telling her she passed out before he could perform the procedure. Now tell me how many woman get off on the thought of a abortion.

My review of eternal kiss of darkness.

It's book review time!

With Jeaniene theres never a dull moment. I love this book, when I read the first book in the series I thought it couldn't get better... I was wrong. This book has the things I adore in a PNR action,great plot and steamy love scenes. Also I really fell in love with the characters. I recomend reading both this book and the first.

PNR guy of the week

Celabrating the return of being human I thought that this weeks PNR guy should be non other than Mitchell played by Irish actor Aidan Turner. On the outside Mitchell seems like a smooth talking ladies man but underneath those dashing good looks is a vampire trying to hold on to his humanity. Things seem to being going well for Mitchell untill he turns his girlfriend into one of the undead and now he's stricken with guilt not to mention a group of crazed power hungry vamps are out to get him. At least he's got his werewolf and ghost roomates to help him out.
